Protocol Overview

How DTP Works

Three deterministic stages. Zero raw file exposure. Every layer of your design stays encrypted until the machine is ready to consume it.

Package

Creator Uploads Pre-Sliced G-Code

The designer chunks and locally encrypts their .gcode or .nc file using the DTP compiler. Toolpaths are split into numbered blocks, each signed with a per-block AES-256 key.

Request

Machine Initiates Print via DTP URL

The print-farm operator clicks a DTP link or triggers a queue job. The machine caches the encrypted block package locally and authenticates with the API using its hardware signature.

Stream

JIT Key Release & RAM-Only Execution

The DTP API endpoint releases cryptographic keys layer-by-layer. The machine decrypts and executes each block from volatile RAM, then purges it instantly — the raw toolpath never touches disk.

Global Infrastructure

One protocol. Every print farm on earth.

DTP operates as a lightweight API layer that any machine can speak — regardless of geography, hardware vendor, or slicer software.

Hardware-Agnostic ProtocolAny machine that can speak HTTP can integrate DTP — no proprietary firmware required.

Multi-Region RedundancyAPI endpoints are distributed across multiple regions for sub-50ms key delivery latency.

Audit Trail for Every JobEvery block request is timestamped and logged — exportable for commercial compliance.

Who it's for

Two sides of the same pipeline.

DTP protects the creator and empowers the operator — without either side compromising.

For 3D Designers & Creators

Stop selling your blueprints. Sell the print.

Your raw CAD files and G-code are your most valuable asset. DTP ensures they never leave your control — not even after you've made the sale.

  • Set hard limits on single-use or high-volume print runs
  • Pay-per-print licensing with enforced slicing parameters
  • Completely eliminate the risk of file leakage or modification
  • Zero slicing errors — customers run your exact, verified toolpaths
  • Revoke access to a license at any time, remotely

For Print Farms & Operators

Frictionless, legal production directly via URL.

Eliminate manual file handling and slicing bottlenecks. One DTP link kicks off a fully automated, auditable print job — no SFTP, no re-slicing, no guesswork.

  • Direct queue integration via Klipper and OctoPrint plugins
  • Machine-authenticated sessions via hardware signature binding
  • Black-box failure recovery with per-block error checkpointing
  • Commercial, tamper-proof audit logs for every production run
  • Universal support for FDM, SLA, and GRBL-based CNC systems

Developer API

Powerful enough for a single endpoint.

One authenticated POST request per block. The API returns a time-limited decryption key that expires after 4 seconds of inactivity. No raw toolpath data ever transits the wire — only keys.

  • RESTful JSON — integrates in minutes
  • HMAC-signed hardware fingerprints
  • Per-block TTL & automatic purge signal
  • Idempotent re-request for recovery after power failure
